Things in life of business change and with these all the software, paperwork, responsibilities to HMRC and other parties.
Let’s check the steps how to cancel your XERO subscription. There is no need to call your provider, all can be done online.
Overview
- If you’re the organisation’s subscriber, cancel a Xero trial or paid subscription.
- Delete your Xero login and remove your access to all of the organisations you’re a user in.
About the one month cancellation notice period
There’s a one month cancellation notice period when the subscriber cancels their Xero paid organisation. During the notice period, all users will continue to have access to the subscription. We’ll continue to bill you for access to the organisation during this period.
The subscriber can stop your request to cancel if you’re still within the notice period.
After you’ve cancelled your subscription, you can log into Xero to use the demo organisation, or add a new organisation.
Your next subscription invoice
Depending on when you cancel your Xero subscription, you might receive your final invoice outside of your usual billing date. For example, if you receive your subscription invoice on the 21st of each month and you cancel your subscription on 16 July, your final invoice from Xero will be for the period 21 July to 15 August.
If you have other subscriptions on the same billing account, we’ll include the final charges for the cancelled subscription on your next subscription invoice. We’ll continue to bill your other subscriptions on the same cycle.
Cancel your subscription
Only the subscriber can cancel a subscription. If you’re unsure who the subscriber for your organisation is, you can find out in Xero.
If there’s an overdue invoice, the subscriber will need to pay the overdue amount before cancelling the subscription.
We recommend you export your data before you cancelling your subscription. At the end of the one month cancellation notice period, we’ll also archive your organisation’s data to comply with record-keeping requirements.
